El Almacén

At El Almacén, a restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide, you will have the honor of eating in a beautiful building from the end of the 18th century. It was, for many years, one of the wheat paneras that proliferated in Ávila. Nowadays, El Almacén has one of the best wine lists you can find, not only in Ávila, but in all of Spain. But this is not one of the best restaurants to eat in Ávila just for its wines. At El Almacén they have been growing little by little thanks to their good work in the kitchen. They started with a small self-taught kitchen, in which the new culinary technologies that brought things like nitrogen and spherifications had no place. Faithful to their tasty stews and the traditional way of doing things, they managed to develop their business as they liked. Try here the smoked duck foie gras with beetroot chutney, the Navalonguilla beans in the classic way, the cod loin with pig trotters or the suckling pig confit with dried fruit. You will not regret.
